Inge Rylant is an illustrator and visual artist based in Antwerp, Belgium. Inges work consists of drawings that are stripped bare of all the unnecessary, focusing on the fundamentals of the image: colour and composition. Like a sponge, she absorbs art, interiors, buildings and street views. Inge has a knack for blending the aesthetics of the East and the West. Over the years, she has especially been researching Japanese art, design and architecture. The sober but detailed visual language of Japan seems to blend perfectly with her own signature.
