The inspiration for PASSEPARTOUT RECT. M comes from museum visits and the way artworks are presented there. This design mirror has a transparent transition between the mirrored part and the wooden frame and turns the reflection itself into the artwork. That is exactly what Studio Segers is so good at: creating designs that blend into their surroundings and enhance the interior.
The symmetrical oak frame echoes the balance and proportion of traditional picture frames. The silvered surface is precisely placed, allowing light to pass through the clear glass and giving the impression that the mirror is gently floating. The transparent separation between the mirror and the frame becomes a neutral zone around the mirror. The viewer gets less distracted and his attention is focused entirely on the mirror and its reflection.
The classic, symmetrical composition of the mirror creates a familiar image. Refined and architectural, Passepartout brings clarity, structure and a subtle tension to any interior. The mirror can be hung in 2 directions and is also available in other sizes.
