HAUSSMANN is a contemporary homage to the grandeur of Parisian overmantle mirrors. These were iconic pieces that often crowned the fireplaces of Haussmann-era homes. With their curved tops, straight bases, and ornate detailing, these mirrors were symbols of refinement and royal elegance.
This design was inspired by an original 19th-century Haussmann mirror, reinterpreted as a two-dimensional silhouette. Using modern techniques, we translated its intricate form into a layered composition of transparency and silvering. The result is a striking mirror that captures the essence of the original, yet feels entirely current.
Impressive in scale and rich in detail, Haussmann bridges past and present with confidence. It’s a timeless piece of art for generations, that honours tradition while embracing a contemporary way of seeing.
