Inge Rylant is an illustrator and visual artist based in Antwerp. Since graduating in 2009 at St.-Lucas Antwerp, Inge is professional active in the world of art, culture and design.
Inge’s work consists of drawings that are stripped bare of all the unnecessary, focusing on the fundamentals of the image: color and composition. Like a sponge, she absorbs art, interiors, buildings and street views.
Next to that, Inge has a knack for blending the aesthetics of the East and the West. Over the years she has especially been researching Japanese art, design and architecture. The sober but detailed visual language of Japan seems to blend perfectly with her own signature.
For Deknudt, Inge was inspired by the Japanse photographer Yoshi Tanaka. With Mika she brings a subtle interaction of abstract colour fields. A mirror for fans of contemporary design.
